Flight Information (Leave on October 28th)
We will be leaving Denver on October 28th. It takes at least 24 hours of travel to make it to Nepal, and with the time change, we will arrive in Kathmandu on the 30th. Flights are roughly $1500 roundtrip. Please budget accordingly. Flight information will be shared with you once you apply.
Required Camping Gear and Trek Information
This will be a Tea House Trek, which means that we will not need to pack our own food or tent. Each night, we will be staying with Nepalese families in their small hotels, called Tea Houses where we will have beds, meals, and tea.
The fall is the best backpacking season in Nepal. This is after the rainy monsoon season in the summer and before the snow comes in the winter. It will be mostly or completely dry for our trek. It will be cold when we reach the higher altitudes.
This trek is an 8 day trek that will take us to 14,000 ft with an optional day hike to 16,500 ft. This will be a strenuous hike. Please make sure you are in adequate physical shape for this experience. With that being said, I did this trek in 2019 with people who had never hiked or backpacked. You do not need prior backpacking experience to do this. If you are unsure, please ask for a call with Shane to have any questions answered
